Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions have been put in place to ensure that you have a safe, happy and comfortable visit. So please do take the time

to read them carefully.

The gites are available from 4pm on the day of arrival and departure is no later than 10am. Bookings are a minimum of 3 nights with a discount applied for a week.

  1.  A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total rent is payable on booking and the balance, together with a security deposit, is to be received  by us 6 weeks before arrival. Reservations made less than 6 weeks before arrival must pay the FULL price on booking. Booking conditions  apply to all persons occupying the property. If payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to seek an alternative booking, with the cancellation charges (see 3 below) then coming into effect. 
  2. Payments can be made by cheque, bank transfer or payment via PayPal (including an admin charge for their services).
  3. Should you cancel your booking either after the deposit is paid, or the full amount, a refund will not be made unless we can re-book the  property , when we will refund 50% of the fee paid. Guests are encouraged to take out HOLIDAY INSURANCE to cover any cancellations. 
  4. A refundable security deposit of £110 is payable with the full payment, 6 weeks before arrival. The guests undertake to keep the premises  and all furniture, fixtures and effects in good repair, as at the commencement of occupation. Please notify us immediately of any breakages or damage. We reserve the right to charge the full value for damage to any part of the premises, furniture, fixtures, fittings etc. On departure the gite should be left clean and tidy. The security deposit will be refunded 7 days after departure less any charges due to breakages, damage or in an unclean/ poor condition. It is hoped that any additional charge will not be necessary and will only be used in exceptional circumstances. 
  5. French insurance works differently to the UK. You are responsible for any damage to the property, we cannot claim under our insurance for  damage caused by guests. It is therefore essential that you take out personal insurance that covers you for accidental damage and personal accident and personal liability. We reserve that right to request a copy of your personal liability insurance. 
  6. We cannot be held responsible for the personal safety and security of guests (or their belongings) whilst on our premises / using items  supplied by ourselves. 
  7. Electricity and services are included in the rent.
  8. Bed linen and towels are supplied plus as few essentials for the first evening (eg. Toilet roll, dishwasher tablets) and basic cleaning  materials. For guests staying more than one week linen and towels will be replaced on a Saturday morning. Washing up and keeping kitchen equipment clean is the responsibility of the guest. 
  9. The gites are priced per week for 2 people. Under no circumstances may more than 2 people occupy a gite.
  10. Whilst we have endeavoured to maximise the level of sound insulation between and within the 2 gites and our living space, we hope that  you will have consideration for your neighbours, both those staying in the adjacent gite and those who live nearby. Should we consider your behaviour to be unacceptable, we reserve the right to ask you to leave the gite. No refunds will be made. 
  11. Please check on leaving that all personal belongings have been removed from the property. A minimum charge of £10 will be made for  retrieval, packing and postage involved in recovery. 
  12. When making your booking please check all details carefully. We will confirm by email details of your booking together with a breakdown  of the total costs, and the dates by which the final payment is due. 
  13. Short breaks / long weekends (minimum 3 nights) may be available - ask for prices and availability.
  14. Cleaning - please leave the gite as you find it. Alternatively you may wish to take advantage of the end of stay cleaning service at a cost of 50€ payable locally. 
  15. Problems - we use the property as a holiday home so are likely be on site, to sort any problems you may have. However, if we are not available arrangements will be made to support you if there are issues.
